About

Luminarium is a London-based jewellery studio devoted to slow fashion, timeless design, and as light an environmental footprint as possible. Every piece is handmade to last, shaped from recycled and natural materials — recycled glass beads from Java, natural stones, freshwater pearls, and hypoallergenic steel — chosen for their beauty and integrity.

Our glass beads start life as discarded bottles, collected from landfills and reborn by skilled hands in Java using time-honoured methods. The result? Not just beads — fragments of old stories, polished into something entirely new.

We design for the long game — pieces that grow more beautiful with you, not with the season’s approval. Most of our pieces are made to order, allowing us to minimise waste and create each design with the attention it deserves. Our jewellery is designed to be lived with — evolving alongside its wearer, telling a longer, slower story.

Versatility is at the heart of the brand. Necklaces become bracelets, earrings transform, elements connect and re-arrange. This adaptability invites the wearer’s creativity, making each piece a personal composition that evolves over time.

Packaging is always compostable, with jewellery delivered in handmade dust bags from natural or recycled fabrics — an object of care, inside and out.

The Maker

Luminarium is the vision of Alicja, a designer with a degree spanning fashion, ceramics, and interior design, and over a decade in the fashion industry. Sustainability is not a choice for her but a way of being. In life and work, she champions a slower, less wasteful approach — creating, buying, and living with the planet in mind.

In her London studio, she shapes jewellery that is both precise and playful — recycled glass meeting natural stones, pearls paired with rare vintage finds for bespoke orders. Each piece is an exercise in balance: modern yet timeless and functional.

For Alicja, jewellery is connection — between past and present, craft and wearer, beauty and responsibility.
